TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOURSELF.
YOGA OF CHOICE makes it easy and convenient for lawyers to take care of themselves, even while sitting at their desk.
Living from deadline to deadline?
Always waiting for the next vacation? Feeling overwhelmed?
Stressed out? Uninspired?
Hey, I’m Anne-Claire. I’ve been there and I can help.
I’m a vinyasa yoga teacher, former lawyer, meditation nerd, amateur baker and your cheerleader. Nothing (well, few things) would make me happier than showing how yoga can help you feel better in your body and your mind.
Improve your well-being with yoga
Yoga’s well-rounded approach to well-being presents many benefits. It has been shown to reduce
perceived stress and stress biomarkers,
reduce somatic symptoms,
improve emotional regulation,
increase sleep quality, and
decrease chronic neck and lower back pain.
Train your mind
At its core, yoga is about training the mind. We often think that we are hard-wired to be a certain way when it has actually been shown that certain positive qualities of the mind, including peacefulness, can be strengthened.
Practicing yoga is a great way of practicing skills such as awareness, attention regulation and cognitive reappraisal, that help you steady your mind and recover from the ups and downs of life.
Connect to your body
Embracing the body-mind connection paradigm, yoga also takes care of your bodies, by inviting you to move along your breath in a way that is respectful of your abilities, allowing you to release tension.
Possible side effects include being able to touch your toes, balancing on one foot and being able to sit down on the floor without using your hands. Increased body strength has also been observed in many subjects.
Give yourself a break
Your yoga practice is a space for you to let go of all the “shoulds” and just relax. There is no goal to reach. You cannot fail at yoga. You are there to explore.
YOGA OF CHOICE, designed for lawyer well-being
At YOGA OF CHOICE, we offer tailored and interactive online classes that are built for convenience. We make it easy for lawyers to enjoy the benefits of yoga.
You set the time and the location.
You practice what you need.
You are motivated to show up.
Sounds interesting? Take a class with me. I teach online private classes only. I find they work best for busy lawyers.
Listen up.
I have recorded meditations and short yoga practices to support my students when they are on the go. Why only audio? Because I want you to practice your yoga, and not copy mine. I want you to be focused on you and what is going on with you. That is why I rely primarily on my voice to teach. So listen and let me know what you think!
As always, you are in charge of your own practice. I only suggest and you decide what is appropriate. If you feel any pain, stop what you are doing immediately. Take care of yourself!
