About
Hello!
I research, write about and teach soft lawyering skills. Just like the better known “core legal skills” of analysis, research and writing, soft lawyering skills are required for lawyers to be highly effective, serve society and promote justice. Soft lawyering skills fall into three main categories: 1) behaving ethically, 2) relating to others (communication, teamwork and leadership), and 3) managing oneself (incl. professional identity, managing time, energy, emotions, biases).
I am an adjunct professor at Cornell Law School. I also create workshops and courses for lawyers on soft lawyering skills. I am a former BigLaw associate and hold a JD and a JSD from Cornell Law School, an LLM from the College of Europe, a Maîtrise from Université Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Yoga Alliance Teacher Certification.
